A view from Canada .....

I've just learned the full story behind the new political map (Jesusland -- no longer available on its original site) that was crafted by some has-been-barking-moonbat hanging upside down somewhere in Canada ....

Proving once again that ignorance is not the state of bliss it's cracked up to be -- the Jesusland map looks to be the product of some politically-challenged, agnostic, far-left, yellow-bellied, draft-dodging, Michael-Moore-look-uh-like brain stem donor hiding out in the Canadian boonies who became so distraught (exacerbated by gorging himself on pickled bear scat after his crop of "home-grown" was mangled by a marauding moose) THAT after listening to election results on his AAA battery-powered short wave radio, he forgot how his former government is organized (provinces and territories in Canada -- not states) and with nothing better to do with his hippy-dippy irreverent self for the next four years (or longer), he dragged out a geography coloring book and some crayons .....

He left out Hawaii.  As if he even knew where it wuz. wuz. wuz. wuz.

From August: The Issue of Credibility

I wrote this in August 2004 for a group discussion on major issues in the upcoming election ..... In retrospect, the issue of credibility was an issue on Nov. 2 ....

I've several reasons for voting FOR Bush in November.  Credibility is a major issue.

Let's look at the issues of "credibility" and John Kerry from two perspectives.

::::long pause:::::

OK, then let's look just at his political credibility.

Kerry is touting his ability to bring international and diplomatic credibility back to the US.  In particular, he will bring France, Germany and Russia (a.k.a. Larry, Moe and Curly on the UN circuit) back into the fold.  Let's look at how he will restore what has allegedly been lost for America  -- whether or not you actually believe what movie maggot <not a misspelling> Michael Moore so factually "documents" <eyeroll> as the greatest sociopolitical legal revelation since if-it-don't-fit-you-must-acquit.

Rather than rehashing the definition of "IS" <blink>, most who actually believe the President lied about WMD's are first cousins to the ones who remain convinced that moon landings were filmed on an MGM back lot.  The reality (as opposed to sound bytes) that the UN, NATO, British intelligence and our own intelligence sources believed there were WMD in Iraq is conveniently overlooked by those who insist on using the words “Bush lied” <yawn> or that the US Intelligence community was totally inept.  [in this writer's opinion, some were -- and are in dire need of overhaul.]

In fact, many military reports have WMD's still being found in lesser quantities; reliable reports also indicate WMD's were transferred to Syria before, during and after Operation Iraqi Freedom. When one adds to this mix that Russian President Vladimir Putin and the government of Jordan both warned President Bush of Iraq’s WMD, most Saturday morning quarterbacks (or would-be Presidents) would have to be absolute idiots to await a UN mandate <see examples below> for action against Saddam and his Oil-for-Food kickback cohorts in the UN.

Ever wonder what previous White House residents knew or could have done to possibly avert the tragedies at the World Trade Center and again on September 11 (had a previous president not been so focused on cigars and dress stains)?  Surely you don't think Kerry's "unofficial" foreign advisor and Clinton's National Security Advisor recently stole Middle East security documents from the National Archives to protect President Bush, do you?

Ever wonder why the documents Berger stole was not given front page scrutiny by major news services?  Was it covered by those daily email feeds from MoveOn.ugggh or other ABB (anybody but Bush) PAC groups?  (Whatever happened to independent thinkers who think independently!!??)

Oh yes, and about the credibility of those UN Security Council members Kerry appears to be courting ....  Few liberal or anti-American presses even reported the UN Oil-for-Food scandal in which Saddam's international buddies have skimmed billion$ off the top of that UN program since its inception.

France and credibility in the same sentence?  Our troops continue to find weapons that were made in France (manufactured and sold to Iraq during the UN trade embargo).   Most Frenchmen recognize Chirac as so currupt that he stays in office to use his immunity to stay out of jail (where his heir aparent now sits).

Germany and credibility in the same sentence?  Re-read the previous paragraph to see how Schroeder and his minions have lined their pockets with illegal sales to Iraq and profited from the Oil-for-Food UN scandal.

Ditto Russia and credibility.  Putin's hands are just as oily as those in France and Germany via the oil scandal.  Do a little research and see which nation had the contract for shipping ALL oil out of Iraq .... Of course, in countries whose economic foundation IS (definition confirmed) the black market -- whatcha expect???

No wonder certain nations (including administrators in Canada and Spain) were miffed and refused to "officially" stand with the US and other allies against terrorism and the Saddam regimen.... The investigation now being conducted will show that oil has flown freely through the highest UN offices to individuals and their respective countries, who've been in cahoots with Saddam for billions of $$  -- all under the guise of food and humanitarian assistance.

Now about Kerry and personal credibility .....  Ever read his Vietnam diary or his deliberately out-of-print book on his post-Vietnam experiences?

Right.

You'll be hard-pressed to find either of them.

Get thee to a monastery .....

How did a multi-million dollar campaign blitz, hollywood's most outspoken entertainers and mainstream media lose an election to the man everyone (huh?) loved to hate? Analysts continue to work over the statistics and those "gotcha" exit poll results without a satisfactory answer. Missing those dangling chads to blame, they're left to speculate about the influence of special interest groups and hot topics.

[IMO, homeland security and terrorism were the top two issues in the election, with personaBLE qualities third, and Kerry's vulnerabilities fourth.]

Those who project that GWB's election and the next four years will be directed by an evangelical coalition (or any other single special interest group) should reconsider the reliability of polling, pollsters, sour grape slants, wishful thinkers and Monday morning bench-warmers. In case you haven't seen the county-by-county national graphic, not everyone who voted for Bush was Republican, rich, Christian, uneducated, heterosexual, conservative, WASPy or lived in the South.

As for morality being a primary voter issue (based on what 20% of interviewees stated in exit polls), keep in the back of your mind that those exit polls were dead wrong Tuesday. Whatever you may have observed about GWB's morality, you might also remember that Sen. Kerry campaigned from the pulpit on five consecutive Sundays before the election and answered the same "faith" questions that Bush answered during the debates.

And don't be conned or duped into associating the theme of "family values" with anti-gay sentiment. While the majority of American voters may currently oppose gay marriage (for either religious or social or personal reasons), there is strong and growing support for civil unions throughout this nation. While I consider homophobic Biblical and political tenets flies on the fruitcake of life (that's the best analogy I can come up with without being equally offensive), I'm fairly confident that neither God nor GWB are anti-gay.

Using the title of an ineffective anti-Bush website, it really is time to MOVE ON and stop looking for some group -- any group -- to "blame" for Bush winning (or Kerry losing).

But I digress ---

Think the election was stolen? How does 51-52% of the populace "steal" an election? Do you really believe that half of America is Republican and voted a straight ticket? It's about time to stop the labels, stop the alibis and accept the reality that voters voted their CHOICE in leadership and not their party affiliation.

Who really won this election? Give lots of credit to every-day, hard-working Americans who volunteered to walk the streets of their neighborhoods talking to neighbors who listened to them -- and not to the paid profiteers or Hollywoodites who belittled, scorned and humiliated any American who voiced support for GWB or his programs. Contrary to the profilers (and I repeat), not everyone who voted for Bush was Republican, rich, Christian, uneducated, heterosexual, conservative, WASPy or lived in the South. Check out one of those national county-by-county digital maps if you want to see how election results translate in colors. Red is for reality.

Who was the real loser on Nov. 2? Peggy Noonan makes a strong case: "... the biggest loser was the mainstream media, the famous MSM, the initials that became popular in this election cycle. Every time the big networks and big broadsheet national newspapers tried to pull off a bit of pro-liberal mischief -- CBS and the fabricated Bush National Guard documents, the New York Times and bombgate, CBS's "60 Minutes" attempting to coordinate the breaking of bombgate on the Sunday before the election -- [it was] the yeomen of the blogosphere [bloggers].... and the Internet [who] took them down."

The election is over. The campaign hype is over. GWB has been re-elected as our President. Accept it. If you want to join a longggggg list of hollywoodites who threaten to leave this country, be advised that Canada will not welcome you immediately -- you'll have to wait about three years to get citizenship .... George Soros has said if Bush wins, he'll spend the next four years in a monastery. (Surely he can still afford a room at Holiday Inn or Motel 6.) Maybe he'll take Michael Moore with him. Now that's an idea..... They can spend the next four years re-writing the Constitution as a rap duet for the politically challenged.

(Do they have monasteries in Iraq or Afghanistan? How long must you wait for citizenship? They've missed the elections in Afghanistan, but if they hurry, they MIGHT be able to vote in Iraq in January........)
